Cornell College Eating Disorder Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Cornell College Eating Disorder Institute in Mt. Vernon, Iowa is accepting applications for a 3-year NIMH-funded postdoctoral research fellowship position. The fellow will assist the Principal Investigator, Dr. Melinda Green, with a 3-year clinical trial evaluating the comparative efficacy of dissonance-based eating disorder treatment and prevention programs.
The fellow will be instrumental in executing all phases of the research process including participant recruitment and scheduling, participant screening via clinical diagnostic interviews, facilitating participant treatment referrals, facilitating collection of online psychological assessments, collecting electrograph data, conducting analyses of electrocardiograph data, assisting with data trimming and data analysis, conference paper and poster presentations, and manuscript preparation. The fellow will also evaluate facilitator adherence and fidelity to the treatment scripts and will provide clinical supervision alongside Dr. Green to the graduate and undergraduate treatment facilitators.
The fellow will also assist Dr. Green in overseeing the activities of the 15 undergraduate and 2 graduate members of the research team and in facilitating communication with the external members of the Data Safety and Monitoring Board and the Medical Monitor.
The fellow will gain significant research experience in conducting a randomized control clinical trial and in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders. Applicants with interests in professional licensure have the opportunity to receive clinical supervision and accrue hours toward licensure as one component of this position.
Preferred applicants will have a doctorate in Counseling, Clinical, or Health Psychology from an APA-accredited program, clinical experience with eating disorder patients, and significant research experience as evidenced by conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
