Maintenance Technician

Cornell College invites applications for a full-time maintenance technician. This position performs routine and preventative maintenance and repair procedures on campus buildings and grounds.

Qualifications: High school diploma and at least seven years of responsible experience in work on grounds or mechanical and general building maintenance. Must possess valid Iowa driver's license, pass a background check, and be insurable to drive.
Preferred skills include experience in the use of all types of commercial lawn maintenance tools and equipment, good interpersonal communication skills, and a very high touch approach to service delivery. Knowledge of plumbing, hvac systems, and/or building controls is desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
